I am not loving this as much as I anticipated. The “big revelation” is obvious from the very beginning. And the oh-so-smart physics references are pretty basic, so I was disappointed by the hype around that. I think part of the problem is that Cameron does not like himself and Bray gives the reader no reason to contradict him until deep into the book.
The last fifth of the book is really great! Cameron gets out of his own way and starts to live. It just wasn’t enough for me.
Two and a half stars.
